Camcorders--audio video system

A camcorder is a device used to record video as well as audio. They are different from other recording devices such as mobile phones as they are primarily built for recording and no other separate function. The early camcorders used to record their material on tape but now tapes have been replaced by hard drives, memory cards etc. They even offer greater clarity of picture and sound than other devices as all emphasis is placed on two functions; video and audio. Their size and weight have decreased through the years to keep up with the present day electronics, but still they are not in great demand as these functions are available on phones and digital cameras as well.
